I believe that self-discovery is an ongoing thing. – Kevin Abstract

As the launch day approaches, I wanted to share more about what went into writing Silent Courage: An Introvert’s Authentic Journey with Hearing Loss. It’s been a long road, and there were moments of doubt, but I kept going because I knew this book could help others facing similar struggles.
One of the most meaningful parts of writing this book was revisiting the vulnerable moments of my life and realising how far I’ve come. By sharing my journey, I hope you’ll find the courage to embrace your own.
Here’s a quote from the book that resonates with me:
Accepting your hearing loss makes it more natural for you to talk about it and create connections with others. As you communicate your needs and frustrations, people will respond with understanding and empathy, and you can offer them the same in return. However, sometimes people will respond negatively, showing no empathy or attempt to accommodate you. Then, talking to your support system about it and your inner resilience will help you to take it in your stride. Being authentic and open builds trust, encouraging deeper connections and more intimate relationships.Silent Courage: An Introvert’s Authentic Journey with Hearing Loss
We can live more fully if we learn to embrace our unique experiences.
